Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking a part-time CT technologist to support the radiology team. You will perform CT exams, educate patients, and document in EMR and PACS while adhering to infection control and safety protocols.

The role requires 1+ year radiology experience with CT training, ARRT RT(R), CPR/BLS, and ability to work day/evening shifts. Join a mission-driven team delivering quality imaging care.

Qualifications

• Associates or higher degree preferred; high school diploma required.
• 1+ year radiology experience with CT training preferred.
• ARRT RT(R) certification required; ARRT-CT preferred; CPR/BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Practicing infection control standards and using approved PPE and disinfectants.
• Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures before exams.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation in EMR and PACS systems.
• Educates patients about the exam and completes exams promptly to maintain workflow.
• Operates imaging equipment safely, adapting protocols for patients of all ages.

Job Description:

** Part- Time Day/Evening: 8:30 am to 5 pm and/or 2:30 pm to 11 pm

• Practicing infection control standards and using approved PPE and disinfectant agents.
• Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures prior to starting exams.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.
• Educates patients about the exam and complete all exams in a timely manner, maintaining workflow and minimizing empty table time.
• Operates all imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, and monitors, adapting protocols for patients of all ages.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds
• Knowledge of CT procedures

Education:

• Associate [Preferred]
• Bachelor's [Preferred]
• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience:

• 1+ years experience in radiology and completion of CT training program [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Technologist – Radiography (RT(R) (ARRT))[Required]
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) [Preferred]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
