Job summary

Akumin is hiring a CT Technologist for our Salt Lake City, UT facility. This full-time role focuses on patient safety and producing high-quality CT studies, with strong communication to radiologists and customers. The position may involve training new staff and troubleshooting scanners and related equipment.

Requirements include ARRT CT registration (or NMTCB CT), state license, CPR, a driver’s license, and basic computer skills. Vaccination and pre-employment checks may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• ARRT CT registration is required.
• NMTCB CT certification acceptable in lieu of ARRT.
• State license required.
• Medical Imaging license where applicable.
• CPR certification required.
• Active State Driver’s License.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking ability.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

We are currently hiring for a CT Technologist at our Salt Lake City, UT facility. This will be a full time position.

The CT Technologist is responsible for patient safety and the performance of high quality CT studies. Responsible for ensuring effective communication with customers, including radiologists as necessary. In some instances, trains new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Ensures Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications to radiation and contrast injections. Also, the use of aseptic injection techniques.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images.
• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.
• Trains new technologist and/or PC's.
• Trouble-shoots the scanner, coach and all peripheral equipment (including: monitors, PACS, etc.).

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience; Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Registered Computed Tomography Technologists by the ARRT.
• If allowable by state where service is provided certification by the NMTCB in Computed Tomography acceptable in lieu of ARRT registry.
• State license.
• Licensed in Medical Imaging, if applicable.
• CPR certification.
• Technologists performing mid-day moves.
• Active State Driver’s License.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs
• The COVID-19 vaccination is/may be a condition of employment.
