Job Summary
As a CT Technologist, you will perform CT exams that support fast, accurate diagnosis while delivering calm, compassionate care to every patient you serve.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare the CT room for each exam.
- Review patient history and prior imaging before the scan.
- Choose the correct exam based on the patient’s condition.
- Partner with radiologists and providers when questions arise.
- Explain the exam clearly to each patient.
- Support patients before, during, and after imaging.
- Adjust the exam if patient needs change.
- Operate the CT scanner safely and accurately.
- Check image quality before completing the exam.
- Follow radiation safety standards at all times.
- Start IVs and perform venipuncture as needed.
- Complete interventional CT procedures when assigned.
- Help train students or staff when requested.
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (required)
Experience
- Experienced CT Techs with at least 1 year of experience highly preferred.
- Comfortable working independently.
- Strong understanding of age‑specific patient care.
- Proven venipuncture skills.
- Experience using PACS and RIS systems.
- EPIC RIS, FUJI, or IntelliSpace PACS experience preferred.
Licenses & Certifications
- ARRT in Radiography, Nuclear Medicine Technology, or Computed Tomography.
- ARRT CT certification highly preferred at hire; required within 1 year of hire.
- Washington State Radiologic Technologist license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.
