Job summary

SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) seeks a Radiologic Technologist/Mammographer to deliver high-quality imaging and patient care in a dynamic radiology department. You will perform CT and radiography, assist in invasive procedures, and ensure accurate documentation and image quality while collaborating with referring physicians.

Required ARRT in Radiography, BLS within 45 days, and ongoing Clinical Competency every three years.

Qualifications

• Current CT/XR ARRT in Radiography.
• BLS certification required within 45 days of start.
• Clinical Competency required within 3 months of hire and every three years.
• Experience: Able to perform all diagnostic exams related to assigned modality.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT and diagnostic radiography equipment.
• Assist with invasive procedures and prepare procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and image archives.
• Communicate with referring physicians and coordinate care.
• Perform venipuncture and follow standard precautions.

Pay Range:$38.93 - $54.76 MAMMO Training Provided! $25K Sign On and $10K Relocation for qualified hire! $10K annual geographic differential pay on top of base!

The Radiologic Technologist/Mammographer must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients’ service on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the unit’s/area/department’s policies and procedures.

ETHICS AND COMPLIANCE

Employee performs within the prescribed limits of SEARHC Ethics and Compliance Program. Is responsible to detect, observe and report compliance variances to their immediate supervisor, or upward through the chain of command, the Compliance Officer or hospital hotline.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

CT/ INTERVENTIONAL

Responsible for care of equipment in this area.

Responsible for record maintenance.

Assist with invasive procedures and knowledge of these procedures.

Active part in the preparation of procedure in this area.

Consult with referring physicians.

Strive towards the goal of venipuncture.

Follow standard precautions procedure.

Alter routine protocols to provide quality care to pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients.

Change contrast levels per age group.

Set up and run automatic injector.

Familiar with contraindications of contract.

Competent in tele-radiology transmission.

Competent in sterile technique.

Actively assist in supply inventory and ordering.

Daily/Weekly QC

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS

Attends department/organizational meetings, in-services, and disaster drills.

Education, Certifications, and Licenses Required:

Travel Required:

Travel may be required to provide services to various SEARHC sites.
