Job summary

AHS - Sherman Medical Center is seeking a CT Technologist responsible for operating computed tomography equipment to produce CT images and maintaining supplies. Qualified candidates must have a valid Texas Medical Board license, a diploma from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, and a current BLS certificate. Previous radiology experience and ARRT registration or eligibility are preferred. This position will work with patients of all ages, providing critical imaging services.

Job description

JOB SUMMARY: The CT Technologist operates computed tomography equipment to produce CT images of designated portions of the body under the direction of a radiologist. Prepares CT equipment and maintains supplies and required documentation. Understands the technical factors and can select the factors that produce consistently high quality images. Demonstrates knowledge of methods used for radiation dose reduction. Works with patients of all ages including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.

2. Certificate or diploma from accredited school of Radiologic Technology required.
3. Current BLS certificate required.
4. Previous radiology experience preferred.
