Akumin is recruiting a CT Technologist for our Round Rock facility on a PRN basis. You will perform high-quality CT studies while prioritizing patient safety and clear communication with radiologists and staff.

Responsibilities include pre-screening for radiation contraindications, using aseptic injection techniques, and training junior staff as needed. A valid ARRT CT registration and state license are essential.

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
• ARRT CT Technologist registration required.
• NMTCB CT certification acceptable in lieu of ARRT.
• State license required.
• CPR certification required.
• Active State Driver’s License required.
• Basic computer applications knowledge required.

• Produce high quality diagnostic CT images.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and customers.
• Train new technologists and Patient Coordinators as needed.
• Troubleshoot scanner, monitors, PACS and peripheral equipment.

We are currently hiring for a CT Tech at our Round Rock facility. This will be a PRN position.

The CT Technologist is responsible for patient safety and the performance of high quality CT studies. Responsible for ensuring effective communication with customers, including radiologists as necessary. In some instances, trains new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Ensures Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra‑indications to radiation and contrast injections.
• Also, the use of aseptic injection techniques.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images.
• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.
• Trains new technologist and/or PC's.
• Trouble‑shuts the scanner, coach and all peripheral equipment (including: monitors, PACS, etc.).

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience; Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Registered Computed Tomography Technologists by the ARRT.
• If allowable by state where service is provided certification by the NMTCB in Computed Tomography acceptable in lieu of ARRT registry.
• State license.
• Licensed in Medical Imaging, if applicable.
• CPR certification.
• Technologists performing mid-day moves.
• Active State Driver’s License.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
