Job summary

Virtua is seeking a CT Technologist for part‑time, on‑site work at Camden area facilities. The role involves performing CT studies, preparing patients, administering contrast, and supporting radiology operations.

You will rotate across Virtua South sites (Voorhees, Marlton, Berlin) and participate in on‑call duties as needed. A per diem position offers a $750 sign‑on bonus and a development‑oriented team.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Eligible for ARRT certification.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality CT scan studies per radiologist‑defined protocols.
• Apply knowledge of routine/non‑routine CT exams to obtain high quality images for age and habitus.
• Utilize RIS, PACS, Web Viewer, ADW and related systems, and ensure proper documentation.
• Provide safe IV contrast administration and prepare patients per protocol; assist during interventional CT procedures.
• Participate in on‑call coverage as needed and train new CT technologists.
• May rotate to different sites (Voorhees, Marlton, Berlin) per Virtua South assignments.

Summary

Performs CT scan examinations in accordance with established protocols, procedures, and techniques. Participates in divisional rotation (Voorhees, Marlton and Berlin) when employed by the Virtua South.

Position Responsibilities

• Consistently performs high quality CT scan studies for our patient populations according to protocols established by the radiologist.
• Demonstrates knowledge of routine and non‑routine CT exams and applies those principles to obtain high quality images based upon the patients age, habitus and/or disease process. May also perform more extensive radiologic and CT scanning functions for diagnostic purposes.
• Demonstrates thorough knowledge and utilization of all CT scan equipment and film and takes appropriate actions when service calls are required. Demonstrates appropriate and effective use of RIS, PACS, Web Viewer, ADW workstation and other hospital‑based computer or PC systems.
• Consistently provides thorough and accurate documentation. Obtains pertinent medical information prior to the procedure, reviews and verifies physician's orders.
• Provides safe and effective IV contrast administration, including IV catheter insertion. Preps patients according to established protocols. Assists physicians during interventional CT scan procedures.
• Provides emergency on‑call services where indicated. Also provides instruction to and assists in any training of new CT scan technologists.

Position Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year in CT preferred.

Required Education

Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.

Training / Certifications / Licensure

• Certification with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
• N.J. DEP licensure required.
• Advanced level ARRT certification in CT scan technology preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Hourly Rate: $50.00
