Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to support imaging procedures and ensure quality patient care. You will administer contrast, position patients, collect exam data, and review images for accuracy.

The role includes QA duties and basic clerical tasks in a fast-paced hospital environment. Candidates should have ARRT, IEMA Safety credentials and BLS, with 2–3 years of undergraduate education or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • ARRT required.
  • IEMA Division of Nuclear Safety required.
  • BLS through American Heart Association required.
  • 2 to 3 years of undergraduate education or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Position and immobilizes patient on examining table.
  • Administers contrast media oral and/or IV contrast in accordance with department policies and procedures, patient history indicators, exam protocols and physician orders and follows through with post exam instructions.
  • Enters data such as type of scan, slice thickness, scan time and other technical data into computer.
  • Communicates with patient before and during procedure; monitors safety, comfort.
  • Views images of organs or tissue on video display screen to ensure quality of pictures; produces radiographs.
  • Performs CT equipment QA and maintains required logs.
  • Performs clerical tasks such as receiving orders, scheduling patients, and recordkeeping.
  • Maintains and cleans work area and equipment; replenishes supplies as needed.

Job description

Salary range: $38.20 - $51.57 per hour. Placement within the salary range is dependent on several factors such as relevant work experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range is guided by the rules outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.

Job Description

  • ARRT registry in CT or MRI
