Universal Health Services, Inc. in Texas seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform CT exams, verify orders with radiologists, and ensure the correct study is conducted.
Screen patients for IV contrast contraindications, coordinate with staff on care, and maintain performance standards; weekend/evening/on-call shifts may be needed.
Qualifications include a Texas MRT license, ARRT(R) in Radiology, ARRT-CT preferred, current BCLS certification, and ~2 years CT experience.
Position summary: Performs all Computed Tomography exams; conducts quality control procedures as required by the manufacturer; evaluates orders, verifies them with the radiologist when needed, and ensures the correct exam is performed. Properly screens patients to identify contraindications for oral or IV contrast. Interacts with hospital staff and nursing departments regarding patient care, concerns, and conflicts, and assists in resolutions. Maintains performance skills. The role routinely requires working weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, overtime, and/or on-call/call-back status when needed.
