And everyone, in their own unique way, plays an important part, every day.Under general supervision of the Director or Diagnostic Imaging, this position is responsible for scanning and producing a variety of computerized tomography examinations for physician interpretation and diagnosis of injury and/or disease for all patient ages. Assists the Radiologist with all diagnostic and interventional procedures. Delivers exceptional patient care and adheres to radiation standards and guidelines set forth by governing agencies to ensure optimal patient safety and customer service. Performs related clerical and service duties and assists with other departments as needed.**I. Major Responsibilities:**1. Properly performs all CT scan examinations appropriate to the age of the patient in inpatient and/or outpatient settings, consistent with departmental and professional standards and protocols. 2. Gathers pertinent clinical data and maintains accurate patient records. 3. Accurately completes all records, paperwork and billings and submits promptly. 4. Positions and transfers patients appropriately and assists physicians with interventional exams. 5. Promptly and properly completes exams, performs QC on images and appropriately sends exams to PACS for the physicians to review. **II. Position Qualifications: License/Certification/Education: Required:** 1. Graduate of an accredited radiological program. 2. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or NMTCB certified in diagnostic CT. 3. Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.**Preferred:** 1. N/A.**Experience/Skills: Required:** 1. Demonstrated ability to provide quality patient care with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting, collaborating with peers to product optimum results. 2. Verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with patients and families. **Preferred:** 1. N/A.
