Job summary

Merit Health River Region Medical Center is seeking a CT Technologist I to operate CT equipment, position patients, and ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging with safe contrast administration. You will collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team to deliver accurate results while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

The role requires 1–2 years of radiologic program experience and 2–4 years CT experience preferred, with strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of clinical experience from an accredited radiologic sciences program required.
• 2-4 years of CT Technologist experience in an acute care hospital preferred.
• Ability to operate CT equipment and maintain image quality while following protocols.
• Ability to explain procedures to patients and address questions.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images per protocols.
• Prepares and positions patients for CT procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Verifies orders and screens for contraindications; monitor for adverse reactions to contrast.
• Administers contrast media safely and responds to any reactions.
• Collaborates with radiologists and healthcare team to deliver timely results.
• Reviews images for technical quality and communicates findings to the team.
• Maintains equipment and performs routine quality control checks.
