Job summary

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking a CT Technologist to join our Imaging team in Los Angeles. You will operate Siemens CT scanners to produce diagnostic cross-sectional images and support radiologists in interpretation.

The position offers 8-hour weekday and weekend day shifts on a rotating basis. Applicants must have ARRT-R, CRT, ARRT-CT, BLS and venipuncture certifications with at least 2 years of CT experience; a sign-on bonus of $7500 is included for newly hired Techs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology program required
• ARRT-R, CRT, ARRT-CT certifications required
• BLS certification from ARC or AHA required
• Venipuncture certification required
• Minimum 2 years CT Scan experience required
• Less than 2 years may be Tech I in some cases

Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret a physician’s scanning instructions
• Administer contrast material
• Prepare and operate CT scan equipment
• Position patient to capture appropriate images
• Send images to Radiologist for interpretation/reading
• Cleans and disinfects patient rooms
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines

As a CT Technologist at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, you will have the opportunity to work 8-hour weekday and weekend day shifts on a rotating basis. The CT Technologist, under direct supervision, uses Siemens computerized tomography scanners to produce cross-section images of patient’s internal organs and tissues for diagnosis of medical issues.

Summary of Essential Duties:

• Accurately interpret a physician’s scanning instructions
• Administer contrast material
• Prepare and operate CT scan equipment
• Ability to position patient to capture appropriate images
• Send images to Radiologist for interpretation/reading
• Cleans and disinfects patient rooms
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines

We are currently offering a $7500 sign-on bonus to newly hired Techs!

Qualifications

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology program required

License/Certifications:

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiologist certification (ARRT-R) required
• California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists CT certification (ARRT-CT) required
• Applicants with no CT certification may be considered as a Tech I
• Venipuncture certification required

Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Scan Technologist required
• At least 6 months of experience with Siemens brand scanners preferred
• Applicants with less than 2 years of experience may be considered as a Tech I
