Job summary

Methodist Hospital Northeast, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a CT Tech II to join our Radiology team. You will perform post-processing on CT/MRI data, ensure quality control, and support patient care with a focus on safety and accuracy.

We value collaboration, mentorship, and adherence to QC/QA protocols. Eligible RT or ARRT certifications in MR/Radiography are required; experience with RIS and post-processing is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Radiologic Technologist with ARRT MR or Radiography certification, or equivalent
  • Post-processing and QC/QA familiarity in CT/MRI
  • Ability to mentor staff and coordinate with vendors for maintenance

Responsibilities

  • Perform post-processing on CT/MRI datasets with timely, accurate documentation
  • Maintain QC/QA protocols in the 3D Lab and CT/MRI departments
  • Coordinate with vendors for equipment maintenance and service records
  • Assist in patient scheduling, tracking and department charging accuracy
  • Support safety policies and reporting of unsafe conditions

Job Summary And Qualifications

What you will do in this Role:

  • Performs post-processing on CT/MRI data sets. These skills are to be performed in a timely and efficient manner. Maintains quality control measures of the 3D Lab, CT/MRI department insuring good documentation and follow-through on issues.
  • Demonstrates knowledge in all areas of CT, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, 3D post-processing, positioning, procedure preparation and technical factors associated with the CT, MRI and post processing systems.
  • Communicates well with others, is able to prioritize tasks, and acts as a mentor to staff as needed while providing quality in-services and instructions.
  • Ensures proper working condition of all CT/MRI post-processing equipment. Coordinates with vendors for repairs, scheduled maintenance. Maintains inventory and equipment service records.
  • Assists in establishing QC/QA protocols as required by JCAHO, ACR, OSHA, TDH and other agencies when applicable.
  • Responsible for the proper use of the RIS (scheduling exams, patient tracking, film tracking, proper completion of exams and to assist the department manager in-patient charging accuracy.

  • May have access to radiopharmaceuticals, contrast agents and other non-controlled medications as appropriate to diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

  • Adheres to the MHS Code of Conduct and demonstrates ethical behavior as expected by our patients, colleagues and the community. Understands the personal obligation to report any activity that appears to violate applicable laws, rules regulations or the Code of Conduct itself.
  • Completes other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
  • (ARRT-MR) Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or (ARRT-R) Radiography, or Certificate, or Associate Degree
