Job summary

Methodist Hospital Metropolitan is seeking a CT Tech II to perform post-processing on CT/MRI data sets with strong attention to quality and documentation. You will maintain equipment, coordinate with vendors, and support QC/QA initiatives in alignment with regulatory standards.

You will collaborate with radiology teams, mentor staff as needed, and ensure accurate scheduling and patient tracking within the RIS system while upholding patient safety and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Associate Degree, or Certificate.
• ARRT-MR Magnetic Resonance Imaging certification, or ARRt-CT Computed Tomography certification, or ARMRIT MRI Technologists certification.
• RT Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer (RT) eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Performs post-processing on CT/MRI data sets with quality control in 3D lab and documentation.
• Demonstrates broad CT, MRI, 3D post-processing knowledge and proper technique.
• Communicates effectively, prioritizes tasks, and mentors staff when needed while delivering in-services.
• Maintains CT/MRI post-processing equipment, coordinates with vendors for repairs and maintenance, tracks inventory and service records.
• Assists in establishing QC/QA protocols per JCAHO, ACR, OSHA, TDH and other agencies.
• Manages RIS usage for scheduling, patient tracking, film tracking and exam completion, supporting department manager.”
• May access radiopharmaceuticals/contrast agents as appropriate to procedures.
• Supports Methodist Healthcare System mission and demonstrates excellent customer service.
• Follows system safety policies and reports unsafe conditions; adheres to code of conduct.
• Completes other duties as assigned

Job Summary and Qualifications

Shift: Weekend Nights

What you will do in this Role:

1. Performs post-processing on CT/MRI data sets. These skills are to be performed in a timely and efficient manner. Maintains quality control measures of the 3D Lab, CT/MRI department insuring good documentation and follow-through on issues.
2. Demonstrates knowledge in all areas of CT, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, 3D post-processing, positioning, procedure preparation and technical factors associated with the CT, MRI and post processing systems.
3. Communicates well with others, is able to prioritize tasks, and acts as a mentor to staff as needed while providing quality in-services and instructions.
4. Ensures proper working condition of all CT/MRI post-processing equipment. Coordinates with vendors for repairs, scheduled maintenance. Maintains inventory and equipment service records.
5. Assists in establishing QC/QA protocols as required by JCAHO, ACR, OSHA, TDH and other agencies when applicable.
6. Responsible for the proper use of the RIS (scheduling exams, patient tracking, film tracking, proper completion of exams and to assist the department manager in-patient charging accuracy.

1. May have access to radiopharmaceuticals, contrast agents and other non-controlled medications as appropriate to diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
