Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is seeking a Radiologic Technologist responsible for producing high-quality radiographs and basic CT scans for interpretation.

You will adhere to safety standards, demonstrate professional compassion, and collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate imaging. The role features a rotational 4, 8-hour shift schedule (2 CT days, 2 X-RAY days) with shifts likely to adjust as staffing changes.

Qualifications

  • Current CPR certification.
  • Graduate of an approved accredited program of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT(R) registered.
  • Complete ARRT (CT) within 27 months of job assignment.
  • Complete CT competency checklist within first 90 days of job assignment.
  • Complete ARRT (CT) certification within 2 years of competency checklist completion.

Responsibilities

  • Operates all equipment in an effective, safe and efficient manner.
  • Employs proper radiographic positioning in accordance with current department procedures.
  • Performs routine maintenance in cleaning all equipment and complies with house-wide safety precautions.
  • Follow the safety steps required to perform their duties and be in compliance with medical, state and federal safety standards.
  • Must be proficient in all aspects of ordered CT procedure and provide diagnostic images for interpretation by the Radiologist.
  • Effectively utilizes all necessary computer systems in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Obtains and records all patient data as required by the medical center, state, JCAHO or other agencies, and ensures proper charging of procedures, coding and modifiers.
  • Reviews images for high quality and assists in QC, QA, QI or ACR as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

Professionally trained individual who produces high quality radiographs and basic CT’s for interpretation and diagnosis.

Job Description:

Will be a rotational schedule of 4, 8-hour shifts/week (2 days CT, 2 days X-RAY)

Current scheduling shift time will be 11:30a-8p (*subject to change when open third shift posting gets fulfilled and would then move to 11a-7:30p)

Rotational weekly schedule: week 1- M, T, W, TH ; week 2 - M, T, W, F (*subject to change if staffing changes)

  • Operates all equipment in an effective, safe and efficient manner.
  • Employs proper radiographic positioning in accordance with current department procedures.
  • Performs routine maintenance in cleaning all equipment. Complies with house-wide BSI precautions.
  • Follow the safety steps required to perform their duties and be in compliance with medical, state and federal safety standards. They must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriately.
  • Must be proficient in all aspects of ordered CT procedure. This service provides diagnostic images for interpretation by the Radiologist.
  • Effectively utilizes all necessary computer systems in compliance with HIPPA guidelines.
  • Obtains and records all patient data as required by the medical center, state, JCAHO or other agencies. Ensure proper charging of all procedures, coding, and modifiers are correct.
  • Reviews images for high quality. Assist in performing QC, QA, QI or ACR as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Credentials, Licenses:

Education and National Credentials:

  • Current CPR certification
  • Graduate of an approved accredited program of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT(R) registered
  • Complete ARRT (CT) within 27 months of job assignment.
    • Complete CT competency checklist within first 90 days of job assignment.
    • Complete ARRT (CT) certification within 2 years of competency checklist completion.
State Licensure:
  • Kentucky
  • KBMIRT Radiation Operator’s License - Radiography (Temporary or Permanent)
    • Associate has 12 months from the issuance of a Temporary KBMIRT Radiation Operator’s License – Radiography to obtain ARRT(R).
  • Indiana
  • Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) License – (Radiologic Technologist or Radiology Student Permit)
    • Associate has 6 months from the issuance of a Radiology Student Permit to obtain ARRT(R).
Specialized Knowledge:
