Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Georgia is seeking a CT Technologist to join our radiology team and support diagnostic imaging services across patient ages. You will operate CT equipment, follow safety and quality standards, and collaborate with radiologists to deliver accurate cross-sectional images.

The ideal candidate will have ARRT certification, AMA/JRCERT education, and BLS, with a preference for 6 months of radiologic experience.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training.
  • Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (R).
  • BLS certified.
  • Preferred: 6 months experience as a Radiological Technologist.

Responsibilities

  • Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists specialize in using ionizing radiation to produce cross-sectional images to help doctors diagnose and treat patients.
  • CT Technologists perform diagnostic Computerized Tomographic examinations under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist.
  • Provide patient care to all age groups including neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

RESPONSIBLE FOR:



  • Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists specialize in using ionizing radiation to produce cross-sectional images to help doctors diagnose and treat patients. CT Technologists perform diagnostic Computerized Tomographic examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. CT Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.



Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:


Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.


MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:


Certified by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).


MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:


Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (R).


ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:



  • BLS certified.

  • PREFERRED: 6 months experience as a Radiological Technologist.
