Responsibilities

  • CT Technologists operate CT imaging systems to produce cross-sectional images for diagnosis and treatment under radiologist supervision.
  • Perform diagnostic CT examinations following prescribed standards and patient care across all ages.
  • Contribute to patient safety and ensure quality imaging and documentation.

Education

Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBLE FOR:



  • Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists specialize in using ionizing radiation to produce cross-sectional images to help doctors diagnose and treat patients. CT Technologists perform diagnostic Computerized Tomographic examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. CT Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.



Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:


Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.


MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:


Certified by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).


MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:


Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (R).


ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:



  • BLS certified.

  • PREFERRED: 6 months experience as a Radiological Technologist.
