Job summary

Miles City Medical Center in Miles City, MT is seeking a CT Technologist to operate CT scanners and assist radiologists with examinations and contrast administration. A CRT in-state and ARRT registration are required, with Mammography certification or willingness to obtain within 12 months of hire. BLS certification is also required.

Two positions available: day and evening/night shifts with on‑call and weekend rotation. Compensation includes full benefits and relocation/sign-on packaging.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT imaging equipment to produce cross sectional images for radiologists.

• Apply radiation safety principles and protect staff and patients.
• Maintain room cleanliness and stock supplies; manage paperwork and PACS entries.
• Support QA/QC studies and administrative functions in radiology.

What they’re looking for:

• Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) in the state and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required.
• Certified to perform Mammography or willing to obtain within 12 months of hire. ***
• Current BLS certification required.
• One year of previous experience preferred.

Hours and compensation potential:

• 2 Position available: 1 is day shift (4-9hour shifts, 7am-6pm), Rotating on call and weekends. 1 is evenings/nights(4-10hr shifts) from 7pm-5am with weekends.
• The range is between $63,400($30.49hr)-$95,000($45hr) plus full benefits and will offer a relocation/sign-on package.

What you’ll be doing:

• The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist is a highly skilled professional who uses specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross sectional images of the human anatomy which aid radiologists in diagnosing a wide variety of diseases and disorders.
• Also assists physicians and Radiologist in performing examinations by administering /providing contrast media and assisting with procedures as needed.
• Identifies self, greets and addresses patients, checks physician order and work order, verifies identity of patients, explains the examination to the patient, positions patients for exam and performs procedure according to established protocols.
• Using proper radiation protection and precautions, prepares and operates CT equipment appropriately.
• Informs Modality Lead, Imaging Medical Director or direct report of any unusual concerns, situations or conditions relative to staff, patients and physicians.
• Assists with stocking and cleaning rooms daily. Maintains adequate inventory of all required supplies by appropriately utilizing supply management/software/hardware and/or informing appropriate personnel for acquisition.
• Performs a variety of clerical and image management tasks, as required such as working up patients, completing appropriate paperwork following each examination and properly identifies exams for PACS storage and review.
• Participates in quality control and quality assurance studies.
• Assists the supervising radiologist with administrative functions.
• Enforces radiation safety principles
