Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a CT Technologist for Thompson Peak Medical Center in Scottsdale to operate CT imaging procedures under radiologist supervision. You will transport and position patients, perform CT scans, administer contrast, and ensure image quality and patient safety.

The role requires ARRT CT licensure or NMTCB, BLS, and 1 year radiology experience, with options for cross-training across network locations. A Sunday/Friday weekend rotation is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CT physics and cross-sectional anatomy (preferred)
• High school diploma or GED (required)
• 1 year general radiology experience (required)
• Certification/licensure: ARRT CT and CRT/NMTCB or equivalent (required)
• BLS certification (required)

Responsibilities

• Assist radiologist in CT procedures and ensure patient safety and comfort
• Transport patients and position them for CT exams
• Verify patient identity, orders, and history; ensure correct protocol
• Operate hospital software for data entry and imaging management
• Maintain equipment and perform quality control testing

Assumes responsibility for tasks or procedures as assigned. Performs data entry operations using appropriate hospital software package. Staff member may be required to provide coverage at various locations in the network. **Essential Functions** * Reviews patient identification, orders, and history to ensure correct patient, procedure, imaging site, Protocols procedure with radiologist as needed. Transports patients to and from the exam room and assists them into position using safe patient handling techniques and equipment. Performs CT procedures and observes patient during procedure to ensure patient's safety and comfort. Administers contrast materials as required. Able to initiate emergency response to contrast reaction as needed. Obtains and evaluates images for technical quality assurance factors including image laterality marking and annotation as required by CT procedure protocols. Utilizes RIS, PACS and other, ancillary image management systems as needed.* Plans, schedules, and coordinates daily workflow for the department’s activities* Maintains equipment in efficient operating order. Performs and documents all required quality control testing. Contacts service for repair and maintenance as directed.* Rotates throughout the department as staffing and volume dictates.* Participates in orientation, training, and in-servicing of staff, as needed.* Maintains an orderly, clean and safe environment of patients and staff in assigned area. A Temporary license is acceptable at the time of hire.
