Job summary

CHI Mercy Health in Roseburg, Oregon is seeking a CT Technologist to capture precise diagnostic images for Radiologists to diagnose conditions. You will create cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and organs while delivering compassionate patient care throughout the imaging process.

You will follow comprehensive imaging workflows, proper patient positioning, and consistently produce clear results to support timely diagnoses and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Licensed radiography professional with OBMI Radiography License.
• ARRT Rad Tech and CT Registry certification required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT scans, general X-rays and related radiology procedures; assists in the OR as needed.
• Executes routine diagnostic and fluoroscopic radiology exams of high quality.
• Ensures patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
• Practices ALARA radiation safety and maintains hand hygiene throughout exams.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our CT Technologist, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions.

Every day, you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process.

To be successful in this role, you will deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes a comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses that guide effective patient care.

• Performs CT Scans, general X-rays, radiology and CT procedures as well as assists in the OR as needed.
• Performs routine diagnostic and fluoroscopic radiology exams of high quality.
• Provides for patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Practices radiation safety during exams in keeping with the ALARA principle. Applies hand hygiene standards at all times.
