Job summary

Powers Health is seeking a CT Technologist for the Munster location. The role involves performing diagnostic CT procedures under supervision, with attention to pediatric and adult patients and adherence to department policies. New grads are welcome to apply.

The position is full-time with evenings, PM, weekends, and occasional holiday shifts. Education must include ARRT certification and Indiana licensure; Advanced Specialty Registry within the first year is required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • ARRT (R) certification.
  • Indiana licensure must be obtained and kept current; registry eligible acceptable with test passage within 1 year of graduation.
  • Preferred CT Certification by ARRT or eligibility for examinations.
  • Advanced Specialty Registry within the first year of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiology procedures under supervision and within department policy and procedure manual.
  • Provide care to Neonates, Infants, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric patients/families.

The technologists are under the general supervision of the Special Imaging Supervisor/Director of Imaging Services, and the clinical direction of the Radiology Medical Director. The technologist will perform diagnostic procedures at a technical level as outlined in the Department Policy and Procedure Manual.

Education/Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of radiological technology. Certified by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, ARRT (R). Licensure by the Indiana State Board of Health must be obtained and kept current. Registry eligible is acceptable but passage of test must be completed within one year of graduation. One year specialized training/experience in order to acquire a suitable knowledge of anatomy and physiology and in depth knowledge of CT theory and expertise in scanning procedures and technique. Preferred CT Certification by ARRT, or meets eligibility requirements for examinations. As a condition of employment the member is required to take and pass the Advanced Specialty Registry within the first year of employment. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for Neonates, Infants, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric patients/family served.
