Lifting Requirements

Heavy lifting: up to 100 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Must be able to stand, stop, lift and walk without restrictions.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions (e.g., pipetting).
• Sometimes it requires lifting and moving lab equipment (up to 50 lbs.).
• Physically assist patients onto examination tables, which may involve lifting or repositioning.
• Hold or manipulate imaging equipment that can weigh 25-50 lbs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate head or body x-ray scanners which create a computer-generated cross-sectional image, commonly called a CAT (Computed Axial Tomography) Scan
• Responsible for educating and preparing patients for their examinations
• Provide patient care that is essential to the performance of a variety of procedures (ie contrast IV, oral and rectal, and checking GFR for all patients receiving contrast )
• Take patient medical history before exam
• Position patients so desired anatomy will be demonstrated
• Determine and set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology
• Assume responsibility for the safety, mental and physical comfort of patients.
• Mandatory on call for ER exams or Stat exams Sunday to Saturday our facility is 24 hours
• Prepares and maintains records and files as directed (clipboard log, Care Vue, Putty, superbill, orders)
