Job summary

Medical Associates of Northwest Arkansas (MANA) is seeking a CT Technologist to assist the Lead CT Tech in diagnostic CT procedures and patient care. The role emphasizes collaboration with clinic staff, image quality, and patient comfort, with duties including IV placement and contrast administration.

Qualifications include graduation from a certified Radiologic Technology Program and ARRT certification, with a goal to achieve CT certification within a year.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a certified Radiological Technology Program.
• ARRT Certification attained or in progress.
• Must set a reasonable goal for achieving CT certification by ARRT within 12 months.
• 2 years’ experience in CT is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT procedures with focus on high image quality.
• Be observant for film artifacts and minimize them.
• Obtain patient history as needed for procedures.
• Help ease patient anxiety and ensure comfort during scanning.
• Start IVs and administer IV contrast per protocol.

Overview

The CT Technologist works under minimal supervision to assist the Lead CT Ttech in performing diagnostic CT procedures for patients; works effectively with patients and other clinic personnel; assists with PACS and routes patients and/or their images to the appropriate nurse's station.

Clinic hours: Mon - Fri 7:30a – 5:30p. This Full time position will work 36 hours/week, with one day off each week.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic procedures as required: achieve a high level of image quality
• Be observant for film artifacts and keep them to a minimum
• Obtain patient history as needed
• Assist helping to put the patient at ease
• Start IVs and administer IV contrast as directed by protocol.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from a certified Radiological Technology Program
• A.R.R.T. Certification
• Must set a reasonable goal for achieving CT certification by the A.R.R.T within 1 year
• 2 years’ experience, preferred but not required
