Job summary

WissenCare is seeking a CT Technologist for a temporary on-site assignment in California. The role involves performing CT examinations, ensuring quality and patient safety, and maintaining equipment.

Shifts include day Tuesdays–Thurs and nights Fridays–Saturdays, with an 8:00 AM–4:30 PM day shift and 11:00 PM–7:30 AM night shift. Two or more years in general radiology with at least one year in CT is required, along with clerical/computer experience.

• Interpersonal skills and clerical/computer experience are relevant.

Responsibilities

• Performs C/T examinations in accordance to established protocols.
• Drives patient instruction and safety during examinations.
• Ensures study quality meets required standards.
• Inspects and cleans equipment prior to use.
• Reports equipment issues to radiology supervisor.
• Documents and processes charges for completed exams.
• Works in other areas of the department as needed.
• Adheres to Joint Commission and patient safety standards.

Pay Rate: $80.00-85.00

JOB SUMMARY:

Duties:

• Performs C/T examinations in accordance to established protocols.
• Assists and instructs patients prior and during examinations.
• Responsible for evaluating each study to ensure it meets required quality standards.
• Responsible for patient safety and well-being during examinations.
• Responsible for inspecting and cleaning equipment prior to use.
• Reports to radiology supervisor all equipment failures and/or malfunctions.
• Reports all patient complaints, discrepancies and drug reactions according to Q.A. policies.
• Responsible for processing images, organizing paper work and completing charges.
• Works in other areas of the department such as radiology, ultrasound, etc.
• Organizational standards for Joint Commission, Patient Safety and the Department of Heath will be met or exceeded.
• Takes call or stand-by when required.
• Performs other duties as required
