AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking an experienced radiology supervisor to lead day-to-day operations of CT imaging. This role involves supervising technologists, coordinating workflow, and ensuring safe, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have CT procedures proficiency, ARRT-CT certification, BLS, and strong teamwork. The position offers full-time hours with a day shift and comprehensive benefits in a faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision of radiologic technologists and imaging operations.
• Coordinate daily workflow, staffing, and room utilization.
• Guide protocols, image quality, and regulatory compliance for CT imaging.
• Ensure ALARA principles and safety standards are followed.
• Assist with onboarding and ongoing competency assessment of staff.

Job Description:

• Shift: Mon-Thurs 630a 5p

• Provides day-to-day supervision of radiologic technologists, support staff, and imaging operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.

• Coordinates daily workflow and staffing assignments, balancing patient volumes, technologist availability, and room utilization.

• Serves as a clinical resource to technologists, students, and other staff, offering guidance on protocols, positioning, image quality, and regulatory compliance.

• Monitors and supports compliance with departmental policies, radiation safety guidelines, ALARA principles, and regulatory/accreditation standards.

• Assists with onboarding, orientation, training, and ongoing competency assessment of technologists and new hires.

• Supports leadership in performance management through the talent care process, performance reviews, and providing coaching opportunities for team member development.

• Collaborates with radiologists, leadership, and other departments to facilitate timely and coordinated imaging services. P

• articipates in quality improvement initiatives, including image quality audits, repeat analysis, and process improvement projects.

• Ensures proper equipment functionality and coordinates preventative maintenance.

• Participates in scheduling, timekeeping, and supply inventory management to support operational efficiency and budget goals.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ability to perform CT procedures at a technical level not requiring supervision of technical details [Required]

• Knowledge of communication styles and constant deployment of proper engagement behaviors when encountering patients, staff, and physicians [Required]

• Basic IV skills [Preferred]

• A background in general physics and cross-sectional anatomy [Preferred]
