Every person. Every time.****SUMMARY**Performs CT examinations on patients of all age populations, under the supervision of a registered Radiologic Technologist. Assists technologists by transporting patients and assisting in the Imaging File Room as needed, thus contributing to the efficient operation of the department while promoting Hamilton Medical Center's philosophy to ensure the quality and continuity of patient care. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development and assess data reflective of the patients’ current status in relation to their age specific needs.**JOB QUALIFICATIONS****Education:** Must be continually enrolled in an accredited radiologic technology program; with one half of the program completed at minimum.**Licensure:** BLS Required**Experience:** Extensive on-the-job training.**Skills:** Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to communicate with patients, visitors, and employees within the organization. Ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patients’ needs that are age appropriate. Ability to select proper instrumentation/supplies appropriate for age group of patients served. BLS certified.## **PHYSICAL, MENTAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS**Worker is required to be on feet most of the day and work is moderately heavy. Extensive amounts of assisting, pushing, pulling, and lifting patients are required.Worker must be able to adjust routine to accommodate patient or department without affecting departmental flow.Worker must adjust to performing routine, repetitive tasks under specific supervision.Worker will be performing in a radiation area.Worker will be exposed to blood, body fluids, and potentially hazardous chemicals.
