Job summary

College Medical Center Long Beach is seeking a Full-Time CT Technologist to prepare patients for CT exams, operate CT imaging equipment, and monitor patients throughout procedures. Responsibilities include applying CT prep protocols, venipuncture for contrast, and documenting in the EMR.

The role supports a welcoming, patient-centered imaging service. Required CRT and Fluoroscopy Permit, English proficiency, CPR/BLS, and a couple of years in CT are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current California State Certification in Radiologic Technology (CRT) is required.
• Current California Fluoroscopy Permit is required.
• ARRT Certification in CT is recommended.
• Venipuncture Certification is required.
• Two years of CT experience are preferred.
• Three years of acute care hospital experience are preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification for healthcare providers is required.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Instruct, educate, and prepare patients for CT procedures.
• Apply knowledge of specific preparation protocols for all CT exams.
• Operate CT equipment and related workstations according to established protocols.
• Perform venipuncture for contrast administration as required.
• Assess patients' conditions before, during, and after examinations.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout all procedures.
• Demonstrate courteous, compassionate, and respectful behavior at all times.
• Adhere to departmental and hospital policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain equipment in accordance with quality control standards.
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in the electronic medical record.

Job Summary:

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, additional compensation may be available for CHLB/Glendora Hospital roles, such as shift differentials and other special pay practices. The posted compensation for this position is a reasonable estimate that ranges from the lowest to the highest pay CHLB/Glendora Hospital, in good faith, believes it might pay for this job based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
