Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a CT Scan Tech to provide computed tomography imaging and patient care per department standards. The role emphasizes ALARA principles, radiation safety, and accurate parameter selection for high-quality diagnostic images.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians in CT procedures (including interventional) and performing CT image reconstruction, as well as preparing and administering contrast media within regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program.
• ARRT Certification.
• ARRT certification on CT within one year of hire.
• CPR-Basic Life Support.
• IEMA licensure.

Provides computed tomography imaging and patient care services at defined levels to patients.

• Implements radiation protection and safety standards.
• Prepares for and assists the physician in computed tomography procedures, including interventional procedures. Performs reconstruction of CT images.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification
• ARRT certification on Computed Tomography (CT) within one year of hire
• CPR-Basic Life Support
• Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) licensure

Preferred:

• One year of Radiology Technologist experience
