Job summary

University Medical Center of El Paso is seeking a CT Technologist I to perform a wide range of CT procedures for patients of various ages in a busy hospital radiology department.

The role requires one year of CT or imaging experience, Texas MRT license, ARRT-R credential, and active BLS certification. An Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology is required, with strong communication and problem-solving skills important for daily coordination.

Qualifications

  • One year of experience performing CT or Imaging procedures preferred.
  • Texas MRT license required.
  • ARRT-R registered radiologic technologist credential required.
  • Active BLS certification required.
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of CT procedures for patients of varying ages.
  • Assist in development and monitoring of department systems and processes.
  • Coordinate activities to improve quality of patient care in the CT department.

The CT Technologist I performs wide range of CT procedures on patients of varying ages, completes all associated tasks and responsibilities necessary to manage patient care needs while the patient is in the Department for procedures. Assists in the development and the monitoring of department-specific systems and in the coordination of activities that improve the quality of patient care in the Department.

Work Experience:

One yearof experience performing a wide variety of CT or Imaging procedures in a hospital setting preferred;

License/Registration/Certification:

Texas Certified Medical Radiography Technologist (MRT) required.

Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT-R) credential required.

Active BLS certification required.

Education and Training:

Associate’s degree of Applied Sciences from an accredited Radiologic Technology school required.

  • Possesses effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Possesses effective interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Technically competent in tasks within the scope of practice of a CT Technologist.
