Job summary

St. Joseph's Westgate Medical Center is seeking a CT Radiologic Technologist to produce diagnostic CT and radiographic images with a focus on patient safety and quality. You will perform a variety of imaging exams in an ER setting, ensuring accurate positioning and optimization of image quality.

The role requires ARRT CT, MRAD, LIC CT credentials, and BLS certification, with at least two years of CT/radiography experience in an emergency department environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of CT and radiography experience in an ER setting.
• Graduate of a 2-year accredited Radiology Technology program.
• MRAD certification.
• LIC CT credential.
• ARRT CT certification.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others
• Independently performs CT and radiographic procedures at a technical level
• Ensures all CT and radiographic images are of diagnostic quality
• Displays competency performing procedures; follows every step for taking an x-ray and CT scan (two patient identifier, gel in/gel out, etc.)
• Uses proper technique to reduce patient exposure to radiation (ALARA)
• Takes all precautions necessary to ensure the patient's safety during procedures
