Job summary

Cullman Regional Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform pediatric CT and radiographic procedures and ensure high-quality imaging with proper shielding and documentation.

Responsibilities include positioning patients, assisting with fluoroscopy, and maintaining safety standards while delivering exceptional patient experiences during night shifts.

Qualifications

• Education: ARRT registered graduate of approved school.
• One year experience in radiology to gain familiarity with processes and procedures.
• Interpersonal skills, communication skills, computer skills, and organization are required.
• Familiarity with radiology equipment and computers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow established pediatric scanning protocols and document required information.
• Document shielding on all patients 13-years-old and younger.
• Active knowledge of CT and radiographic procedures, performing as ordered by physician.
• Position and instruct patients for exams.
• Perform mobile and surgical radiography safely and accurately.
• Protect self and others from undue radiation exposure.
• Assist physician as needed with fluoroscopy and XR/CT sterile procedures.
• Adjust CT parameters and imaging techniques to achieve the most diagnostic study.
• Perform venipuncture and IV maintenance and prepare and administer contrast according to guidelines.
• Ensure correct images and documentation are in PACS and available for interpretation.
• Transport patients and communicate hand-off with nursing staff.
• Demonstrate team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience: Must possess interpersonal skills sufficient to interact with patients, patients’ families, visitors, salesmen, and general public; must possess knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles and procedures as well as operation and maintenance of radiology equipment.
• Additional Skills/Abilities: Communication skills, computer skills, task-orientated, and organization are required. Familiarity with the operation of all x-ray equipment and computers is preferred. Interpersonal skills are necessary in order to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical and/or emotional stress to gather and exchange patient information with nursing personnel and physicians.
