Job summary

Connecticut Pest Elimination is seeking a Pest Control Technician to join our Connecticut service team. You will complete award-winning, paid training to learn the skills needed for daily pest control routes and will build relationships with customers while delivering effective pest management services.

As part of the role, you will follow a set route in your territory, maintain the vehicle and equipment, and document service activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be 18 years or older to apply
• Valid driver's license
• No experience required

Responsibilities

• Serve as a problem solver for your customers by combining the in-depth training provided and attention to detail to decide on the most efficient and best overall pest solution for each customer’s needs
• Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction and discuss additional services that meet customer needs for a complete pest management program
• Follow a route schedule within assigned territory, adapt to weather-related changes, and ensure timely and safe arrival at each customer’s home
• Operate a company vehicle safely and ensure cleanliness of the vehicle and equipment
• Complete all required service-related documentation and leverage your hand-held device provided for speed and accuracy

Responsibilities

As a Pest Control Technician, you will complete our award-winning, paid training to learn the skills required to be successful in the daily operation of a pest control service route. As a representative of our service team, you will build relationships with your customers, perform pest control related functions, and schedule and run your own route!

You Will

• Serve as a problem solver for your customers by combining the in-depth training provided and attention to detail to decide on the most efficient and best overall pest solution for each customer’s needs
• Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction and practice customer service skills by discussing additional services that meet customer needs for a complete pest management program
• Follow a route schedule within assigned territory, allow flexibility with customer and weather-related factors and ensure timely and safe arrival at each customer’s home
• Operate a company vehicle safely and ensure cleanliness of the vehicle and equipment
• Complete all required service-related documentation and leverage your hand-held device provided for speed and accuracy

Qualifications

As a Pest Control Technician at Connecticut Pest Elimination, you must possess the following skills/requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be 18 years or older to apply

Physical Demands / Working Environment

You must meet physical job requirements and safely perform the job duties with or without accommodation:

• Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's weight capacity
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, roof tops, etc.
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
• Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment (company paid)
• Ability to work in the field independently and manage route-based assignments
