Position

Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Service line at the Northwell Health's South Shore University Hospital is seeking an experienced Full-time Intensivist to join our team in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Facility Overview

South Shore University Hospital is the eastern most Long Island tertiary hospital for Northwell Health. Located 30 miles east of NYC on the south shore of Long Island, this 305-bed hospital is rapidly growing and focus with plans to potentially expand to over four hundred beds.

The Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Intensive Care Unit is a 10-bed ICU unit with an additional 4 Stepdown beds.

The Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery service line performs 600 cardiac related surgeries per year from open procedures, transcatheter based therapies, ECMO, and LV support for high-risk PCI.

Qualifications & Experience

• Candidates must be fellowship trained, and Board Certified in Critical Care or Thoracic Surgery.
• Primary board certifications can include Internal Medicine, Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine, or General Surgery.
• Candidates graduating from their sub-specialty training will also be considered depending upon CTICU experience during fellowship training.

• Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
