Job summary

Baptist Health Care is seeking a CT Technologist to perform interpretive and technical functions for accurate radiologic diagnoses. The role involves operating complex equipment, ensuring quality images, and providing patient care. Candidates must hold a High School Diploma and a Technical Diploma in Radiology, along with necessary certifications including ARRT and BLS.

Excellent interpersonal skills, knowledge of anatomy, and proficiency in using major CT and x-ray equipment are required. This position offers an opportunity to work within a dedicated healthcare team in Gulf Breeze, Florida.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Technical Diploma/Certificate in Radiology required.
• Certified Radiology Technologist license required.
• Registered Technologist (ARRT) upon hire required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association) upon hire required.
• Registered Technologist - Computed Tomography (RTCT) ARRT within 18 months required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all responsibilities required by the CT department.
• Receive and review requests for CT and x-ray exams.
• Accept patients and assess their condition for proper handling.
• Operate complex radiographic equipment within the department.
• Assist in administering various medications under physician direction.
• Explain and prepare patients for CT and x-ray procedures.
• Quality control all images and maintain inventory.
• Participate in training department personnel and students.
