Job summary

The University of Iowa Health Care is seeking an Imaging Technologist to provide instruction and perform specialized CT imaging and general radiography in Iowa City. The 80-100% position involves teaching CT and radiographic procedures, monitoring patients, and ensuring safety during exams.

Regular duties include radiography across modalities, patient communication, and collaboration with faculty and students.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a 2-year radiologic technology program.
• Current ARRT certification or eligibility for diagnostic procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiography procedures with various imaging equipment with close patient monitoring.
• Provide instruction to trainees, medical staff and students on safety.
• Explain exam procedures to patients and gather required information.
• Maintain rapport with patients, staff and the public.
• Prepare and administer contrast material under radiologist supervision.
• Other duties as assigned.
