Job summary

Northside Hospital offers a CT Technologist training position in Atlanta. Trainees work under a registered CT technologist to perform CT exams according to physician orders and can gain eligibility for ARRT certification after 22 weeks of clinical and didactic training.

Upon successful completion, trainees may apply for ARRT certification and are assigned to CT technologist roles with a two-year employment commitment to Northside.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) certification.
• Minimum of one year of diagnostic radiology experience.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Train under supervision of a CT technologist to perform CT exams per physician orders.
• Eligible for CT certification after 22 weeks of clinical and didactic training.
• Upon successful certification, eligible to be assigned as CT Technologist and commit to a two‑year employment with Northside.

A training position preparing individuals to gain certification. Residents will work under the supervision of a registered CT technologist in providing CT exams per physician orders. Position will offer eligibility for certification after 22 weeks of clinical and didactic training. After successful completion of program, the resident will be eligible to apply for the ARRT certification examination. Upon passing the certification exam, residents will be assigned to positions as CT Technologists and agree to a two (2) year employment commitment with Northside.

REQUIRED

1. Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
2. Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT)
3. One (1) year of experience in diagnostic radiology
4. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support

PREFERRED

1. Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
2. Ability to insert an intravenous catheter
