Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO, seeks a Full-Time CT Clinical Instructor for Advanced Modality with a focus on teaching and student precepting. You will train technologists, coordinate preceptors, and perform CT exams as a scanning technologist while mentoring staff and students.

Day Shift: Mon-Fri 6:30am-3pm; CT Certified; no-call; this role emphasizes hands-on learning and department leadership in the CT unit at Plaza West Tower.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Trade School equivalency (or higher level of education)
• Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R) and/or CT
• 2-5 years CT experience

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
• Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
• Establishes and documents work standards for management of introduction of complex protocols used for diagnostic and therapeutic clinical applications.
• Communicates with program directors of affiliated institutions and protocols established by the institutions with approval from BJC leadership.
• Attends all necessary clinical affiliated meetings.
• Responsible for training students and/or new hires: orienting to the department, ensures the students/new hires follow safety regulations, evaluates as deemed necessary, and coordinates education of staff.
