Job summary

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) has a Special Procedure Technologist opening at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem. The role performs radiographic procedures including CT and angiography with independent judgment and adherence to ALARA principles.

Harlem Hospital is a major center offering advanced care and a strong academic affiliation. The position requires NYS X-Ray licensure, ARRT registration, and CT certification, with 8am-4pm shifts and alternating weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of CT experience OR completion of Hospital-sponsored training program.
• NYS X-Ray Technologist license.
• Registered X-Ray Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART).
• AART/CT certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures to include CT, angiography, and routine diagnostic procedures on patients whose condition requires specialized expertise at a technical level, not requiring supervision of technical detail, but will require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation according to ALARA principles (As Low As Reasonably Achievable).
• Support the vision, mission, and value statements of NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem by providing for interdisciplinary cooperation in the provision of timely/courteous service to our customers, reduction in turn-around-time, and for the compassionate care and treatment of each patient.
• Schedule: 8am - 4pm, as well as alternating weekends.
