Job summary

Columbia Tech in Westborough, MA is seeking an assembler to join our manufacturing team. You will build electrical panels and related assemblies per precise process specifications, read drawings and BOMs, and work with a small team to achieve quality results.

You will communicate effectively, learn new builds, and support engineering/quality personnel to ensure adherence to workmanship standards. This is a hands-on, on-site role with room to grow.

Qualifications

• Experience assembling electrical panels per specifications.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Team oriented with a positive attitude and effective communication.
• Willingness to learn and train on new product builds.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products per assembly process specifications.

• Work with written instructions, mechanical drawings, BOMs, wire run lists and electrical schematics.

• Integrate sub-assemblies, electrical panels, chassis, power supplies and cables.
• Co-builds with customers/project teams to learn and transfer knowledge to others.
• Learn new product builds and transfer knowledge to other assemblers.
• Work independently and with groups of 2-8 people.
• Work with Engineering and Quality Control relating to assembly requirements and standards.

Description

• Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assemble products per assembly process specifications.
• Effectively communicate with team members, both verbally and in writing.
• Work in a team environment with a positive attitude and support the success of the team.
• Assemble, terminate, and wire electrical panels and electrical boxes using the specified tooling and approved workmanship standards, including complete installation into enclosures.
• Work with written instructions, mechanical drawings, bills of materials, wire run lists and electrical schematics.
• Perform point to point wiring on a variety of electrical panels and power distribution electrical boxes; using company supplied hand tools, such as crimpers and wire strippers.
• Integrate sub-assemblies, electrical panels, chassis, power supplies and connecting cables.
• Perform co-builds with customers and/or project teams with limited support to learn new product builds and transfer knowledge to other assemblers.
• Learn new product builds and transfer knowledge to other assemblers.
• Work independently and with groups ranging from 2-8 people.
• Work with Engineering and Quality Control relating to assembly requirements, workmanship standards and customer product specifications.

Salary: $24-$28/hr(Salary commensurate with experience)
