Job summary

Dignity Health – Mercy General Hospital in Sacramento, CA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care within a dynamic ICU/critical care environment. You will perform comprehensive assessments, implement care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Required candidates will have CA RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and at least one year of recent critical care experience.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of recent critical care experience.
  • Registered Nurse license for California (CA RN).
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Responsibilities

  • Performs total body and system assessments each shift/visit according to unit standards.
  • Plans, implements, evaluates and educates as part of the patient care plan.
  • Utilizes unit-specific technology, procedures, and standards.
  • Documents clearly, timely, and accurately in the electronic medical record.
  • Mentors staff and serves as a resource to other nursing departments.

Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. You'll collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.

  • Performs total body and system assessment each shift/visit according to unit standards.

  • Including planning, implementing, evaluating and educating.

  • Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols, standards and interventions specific to assigned unit.

  • Performs legible, timely, concise and accurate documentation according to policies and procedures. Proficient and competent with the computerized documentation system.

  • Accepts responsibility and accountability for own decisions and behaviors. Recognizes, accepts and cooperates with direction from facility leadership.

  • Participates in orientation of new staff, ancillary personnel and mentors students in a constructive and positive manner. Serves as resource to staff from other nursing departments.

  • At least (1) year of recent critical care experience (exception: when staffing is experienced enough to support a trainee, applicants without the requise expereince may be considered).

  • Registered Nurse: CA

  • BLS from the American Heart Association (AHA)

  • ACLS from the American Heart Association (AHA)
