Virtua Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support surgical services and infection control at our South Jersey facilities. The role involves cleaning, sterilizing, and distributing instrument sets for OR, L&D, and endoscopy, ensuring patient safety and compliance with standards.
Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, prior sterile processing experience, completion of a sterile processing course, and CRCST certification within 6 months of employment.

Supports Infection Control by collecting, cleaning, disinfecting and distributing portable patient care equipment that has been properly prepared, documented and inspected for use at the bedside in the care of our patients. Responsible for cleaning, decontaminating, sterilizing, and distributing medical and surgical instrumentation for use in patient care by the surgical team in the Operating Rooms, Labor & Delivery, and at the bedside or department e.g. Endoscopy where the invasive procedure is performed.
Required Experience: Previous sterile processing experience preferred.
Required Education: High School Diploma or Graduate Equivalent Diploma (GED).
Successful completion of a sterile processing course taken at an accredited or state-licensed institution offering post-secondary, professional, vocational or adult education or successful completion of a program or course designed to prepare students for the CRCST certification examination.
Training / Certification / Licensure: CRCST/CBSPD Certification required within 6 months of employment, CER preferred.
Hourly Rate: $21.85 - $32.83
The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant's experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
