Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a Certified Central Sterile Service Technician II for Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia. The role involves decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and preparation of surgical instruments and medical equipment for patient care.

The position requires a CRCST certification and at least 1 year of CSS/central sterile processing experience. HSD/GED is required and the shift is full-time second shift, 3pm-11pm, Monday to Friday.

Shift: Full Time Second Shift, 3p-11p position, Monday through Friday.

Job Description The Central Sterile Services Technician I is responsible for the decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and preparation of surgical instruments, medical equipment, and supplies used in patient care. This position operates and maintains sterilization equipment according to established procedures and standards. Examines medical equipment for defects and reports faulty equipment to appropriate personnel.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $21.50 - $32.83 hourly.

Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
