Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Heart Hospital's CVICU is seeking Registered Nurses to deliver specialized cardiac care in a high-acuity setting. The CSICU team emphasizes critical thinking, patient safety, and evidence-based practice in a collaborative environment.

Required RN degree and Virginia RN license, with BLS certification due within 90 days of hire. A minimum of 1 year of RN experience in IMCU/stepdown or medical-surgical units is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• RN degree is required.

• 1 year RN experience in intermediate, IMCU, stepdown, or medical/surgical units is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care using the nursing process.
• Perform assessment, planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of patient care.
• Collaborate with care team to ensure quality outcomes and health promotion.
