Job summary

Sarela Technology Solutions seeks an experienced Systems Engineer SME to support a DoD modernization program. You will architect CSfC PKI/HSM, manage VMs and HCI, and enforce STIG compliance to sustain ATO across Windows and RHEL platforms, with automated deployment and centralized logging.

In this role you will build resilient backup, configure secure networks, and collaborate with DoD leadership to drive secure modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive systems engineering in DoD/DoW or defense contractor environments.
• Active TS/SCI Clearance.
• Active DoD 8570.01-M / DoD 8140 IAT Level II or III baseline certification (e.g., Security+, CySA+, CASP+, or CISSP).
• Active Computing Environment certification (e.g., VMware VCP/VCAP, RHCE, etc.).
• Experience drafting CSfC Key Management Plans (KMPs) and CMPs for NSA CSfC PMO approval.
• Proficiency with PowerShell, Bash, and Ansible for automation and patching.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain CSfC PKI and HSMs.
• Deploy and manage CSfC infrastructure across Black/Gray/Red networks.
• Establish centralized Syslog/audit logging and SIEM integration.
• Build and maintain VM/Hyperconverged compute and storage fabrics (VMware/Nutanix).
• Automate OS deployment and gold-image provisioning (SCCM/MCM).
• Ensure DoD STIG compliance and maintain Authorization to Operate (ATO).
