Job summary

Premier Ambulatory Surgery Center in Nashville is seeking a Certified First Assist to work under the direction of the operating surgeon. You will function as first/second assistant, aiding exposure, hemostasis, and other technical tasks to ensure safe outcomes.

Responsibilities include positioning, prep, draping, maintaining sterile technique, and swift room turnover between cases. A CAHEAP-accredited surgical assisting program graduate with CSFA/CSA and BLS/BCLS is required.

Qualifications

• Must have CSFA credential from NBSTSA and be a CSA.
• BLS/BCLS certification required.
• 1 year operating room experience, preferably in ambulatory surgery.
• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited surgical assisting program.
• Certified Surgical Assistant status preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon as first/second assistant during procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning, prep, and draping per protocol.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with exposure and hemostasis.
• Restock and change over rooms between cases.
• Communicate needs to surgeon and surgical team promptly.
