Prince William County Community Services is seeking a Bilingual Therapist II (Clinical Services Caseworker) to deliver evidence-based interventions for Spanish- and English-dominant clients within the CORP team. You will manage a 30–40 client caseload and collaborate with partners across law enforcement, healthcare, and social services to improve client outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload of 30–40 clients and collaborate with community partners, law enforcement, medical providers, and social service agencies to support improved outcomes.

Join the Comprehensive Outpatient Recovery Program (CORP) team at Prince William County Community Services for a role that offers rewarding work and great benefits! This position qualifies for a $5,000 hiring bonus. This bonus will be paid in two equal installments. The first installment of $2,500 will be paid after you have completed 90 days of employment. The final $2,500 installment will be disbursed upon successful completion of the probationary period.

About This Role:

The role of the Bilingual Therapist II (Clinical Services Caseworker) is central to the treatment work within the CORP team. The Therapist II delivers evidence-based interventions in group and individual settings to address a broad range of challenges, including substance use histories, serious mental illness, and the impacts of trauma, poverty, and social stressors. As a Therapist II, you will carry a caseload of 30-40 clients who deserve excellent treatment services. The Therapist II collaborates on behalf of the client with community partners, law enforcement agencies, medical providers, and social service agencies to support improved outcomes. The Therapist II in this role will be assigned a caseload of Spanish and English-language dominant individuals. You will need to communicate as needed with supervisors and participate in weekly supervision meetings as well as team and staff meetings.

Minimum Requirements:

• Master's Degree in social work, counseling, or a related behavioral science field.
• 1 year of experience providing services to seriously mentally ill adults and those with substance use and co-occurring disorders. (9 months of supervised experience can be counted as 1 year of experience)
• Able to obtain a license in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an LPC or LCSW within 4 years of employment.
• Bilingual – ability to read, write, and speak fluent English and Spanish.

Preferences:

• Experience providing evidence-based individual/group therapy services in a human services environment to substance-using and co-occurring clients in the pre-contemplative and contemplative stages of change.
• Experience using DSM 5 for assessment and diagnosis of conditions requiring treatment.
• Experience developing individualized treatment plans based on a client’s presenting needs and preferences.
• Experience managing crisis situations.
• Experience connecting clients to resources in the community.
• Experience with recovery in a harm-reduction model, motivational interviewing, and stages of change theory.
• Experience keeping excellent clinical documentation in an electronic health record.

Special Requirements:

• Must possess a valid driver's license without any restrictions
• Must pass DMV record check
• Must pass TB test
• Must pass and maintain first aid and CPR certification
• Offer of employment is contingent upon the candidate passing a fingerprint-based National Criminal History Record Check
• Child Protective Services Requirements: Effective 1999, mandated by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services 12VA35-105-400 rules and Regulations for Licensing Providers by the Department of Behavioral Health and Development Services related to Criminal Registry Checks, a search of the registry of founded complaints of child abuse and neglected maintained by the Department of Social Services.

Work Schedule:

FLSA Exempt, Hours are generally Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with some flexibility.

Starting Salary Range

$76,069.50 - $104,676.00
