Job summary

PCB Piezotronics, Inc. is seeking a full-time Operations employee in Lancaster, NY. The role requires following ISO 9001 procedures, handling small parts with care, and working with microscopes and precision tools to produce crystals.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Refer to drawings, routers and procedures to produce crystals.

• Set up, operate and clean equipment per procedure; may run hot plates, ovens, furnaces, etc.
• Support quality and continuous improvement with engineering.
• Provide information to leadership to improve quality/output.
• Follow health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Follow hazardous waste procedures for wastes generated in manufacturing.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other related duties to ensure efficient department operation.

Primary Objective:

Follow all PCB procedures and forms in compliance to ISO 9001.

Both independently and under direct supervision, performs a variety of production tasks that require the ability to follow written/verbal instructions and a thorough knowledge of techniques, materials, tools and equipment.

Major Areas of Accountability

• Refers to drawings, routers, and procedures to perform various processes required to produce crystals.
• Performs in-process inspection and testing of crystals, records data as required.
• Learns and uses microscope, basic tools, fine hand tools, micrometers and various processing and test equipment.
• Responsible for simple set ups, operation, and cleaning of various equipment per procedure. May operate hot plates, ovens, furnaces, ultrasonic cleaners, laser etchers, chemical or vapor plating equipment, poling stations, precision test instrumentation, and other equipment as needed.
• Shows commitment to quality and total customer satisfaction through dedicating skills to achieve zero defect status and works with engineering to support continuous improvement projects.
• Provides information to department leadership and co-workers to positively affect quality and output.
• Follows established procedures with respect to workplace health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Responsible for following company hazardous waste management procedures for hazardous wastes which are routinely generated through the manufacturing processes performed during normal duties.
• Maintains a clean and organized working area, and follows established department cleaning requirements.
• Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient operation of department and PCB.
