A day in the life

As a Cryptologic Computer Scientist, you will support critical missions while facing hard cryptologic computer science problems requiring you to design, develop, deliver, and operate scientific solutions. Daily tasks may involve analyzing forensic and network data, conducting attack attribution, protecting critical networks, generating active system warnings and indicators, performing active penetration into target systems, discovering knowledge of passive and active systems, or other cryptologic computer science mission support.

What you bring to the table

• Level 1 – A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus two (2) years of relevant experience.
• Level 2
  • Bachelors in Computer Science or a related discipline and five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Masters in Computer Science or a related discipline and three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • Doctorate in Computer Science or a related discipline and two (2) years of relevant experience.
• Level 3
  • Bachelors in Computer Science or a related discipline and eight (8) years of relevant experience.
  • Masters in Computer Science or a related discipline and six (6) years of relevant experience.
  • Doctorate in Computer Science or a related discipline and four (4) years of relevant experience.
• Level 4
  • Bachelors in Computer Science or a related discipline and 11 years of relevant experience.
  • Masters in Computer Science or a related discipline and nine (9) years of relevant experience.
  • Doctorate in Computer Science or a related discipline and seven (7) years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Python, Spark, and comfort working with large scale data.
• Strong network and protocol analysis background.
• An active TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph.

Salary Range

• Level 1: $95,000 - $155,000
• Level 2: $115,000 - $175,000
• Level 3: $165,000 - $215,000
• Level 4: $180,000 - $230,000
