Job summary

KBR, Inc. is looking for an intermediate Crypto Systems Engineer to be a technical advisor on cryptographic architecture and integration.

This role will support critical national defense by ensuring cryptographic solutions are effectively embedded in satellite systems. With responsibilities involving advisory roles, documentation, and evaluation of integration risks, candidates must have strong qualifications, including a Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
• Active TS/SCI clearance (with current polygraph) required.
• Demonstrated 5+ years of experience in cryptographic engineering.
• Experience supporting national security space programs is essential.
• Ability to work independently and in team settings.

Responsibilities

• Advise on cryptographic architecture and design decisions.
• Evaluate contractor approaches to cryptographic implementation.
• Support development of Key Management Infrastructure concepts.
• Assess crypto-related requirements for feasibility.
• Identify integration risks in proliferated satellite environments.
• Document and deliver analyses, recommendations, and plans.
