Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) crypto is seeking a Social Media Lead to grow its social channels, engage crypto communities, and translate research and news into engaging social content. You will adapt existing pieces and create native formats, from clips to campaigns, across podcasts, events, and editorial content.

This remote role (West Coast hours) requires strong storytelling, data-driven decisions, and the ability to advise portfolio companies on social strategy while maintaining an authentic

Qualifications

• Excellent communicator across text, multimedia, design, or memes.
• Experience owning or driving social media for a high-visibility brand in a content operation is welcome.
• Ability to adapt style and voice across formats, platforms, and audiences.
• Experience with X, LinkedIn, Instagram; crypto-native tools optional.
• Strong data analytics skills and regular reporting insights.
• Ability to meet multi-threaded/cross-functional deadlines.
• Passionate about technology, the internet, and crypto; curious and eager to learn.
• Low ego, high empathy; collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Grow a16z crypto’s social channels and engage communities across audiences.
• Adapt and distribute existing content into social posts; create native social content (clips, campaigns).
• Support external podcasts, media appearances, investments, events, and editorial content.
• Advise the broader team and portfolio companies on social strategy and profile building.
• Collaborate with editorial and production to ensure timely, compelling social output.
